 One of the features of Porthleven's R.N.L.I. Day is the Working Boat Race. This is when boat owners and fishermen dress their craft overall, and prior to the race, create as much mayhem as possible with buckets of water, water pistole, hastily fabricated water hose systems and so on that are designed to make the opposition feel as uncomfortable as possible.
